Over the last eight years, I like many conservatives I know, had felt alienated by the Republican party. Instead of supporting genuine conservatives like Tom McClintock in the Grand California Governer Shuffle, they supported Schwarzenegger because, despite being relatively devoid of conservative values, he was "electable". The story was repeated over and over, and even culminating in an election where the favored candidates had questionable conservative credentials.
Some conservatives even threatened to boycott or countervote in the election to "teach the Republicans a lesson". Well, message heard, lesson taught. Now, what are you going to do about it? If anyone cares what message the Republican party presents to the nation, if anyone believes conservative values must be more clearly represented, now is the time to get involved. Make your voice heard and participate in driving the conservative change you believe the Republican party needs. Any who would advocate these principles but keeps their silence today does their country and their fellow man a disservice. Stand up for what you believe, make your voice heard, and fight for the change you seek.
